Hermes Birkin new or pre-loved?

Hi everyone!

I’m finally ready to purchase a Birkin. I have the size ( 30cm) and neutral color choices in mind, however I’m undecided on purchasing pre-loved, or waiting until my vacation to Paris early next year to attempt to get one. I’ve been doing research, and reading the Hermes shopping in Paris thread for tips, if I decide to try scoring one in Paris. what are your thoughts? opinions and insight are greatly appreciated.

If you wait until your holiday, you have got a year to try and find some to examine.
You need to read as much as you can about the leathers and colours so that you will be informed and enthusiastic when you meet your SA.
Look at all the preloved offerings on various consignment sites as well as ebay.
Do your own research and get a feel for what might be available;
knowledge is power!

If you have read the shopping thread you will know that if you are unlucky with an appointment at FSH, don't give up; try Sevres and George V.
