Hermes Birkin 35 or Lindy 30?

I am confused on what to get if I should get an Hermes Birkin 35 (gold on ghw) or an Hermes Lindy 30 (etoupe phw)

These are 2 very different bags. Do you want a tote or shoulder carry? Which one appeals to you more?

I dreamt of owning a birkin for a long time already but I think a birkin is not too practical for my lifestyle compared to a Lindy especially since it’s a birkin 35

Personally I would choose the lindy but that is because I need a shoulder carry option. I have two lindy 30s and love them

If you truly cannot choose between two very different bags, I tend to think you have not seen the right one and should wait.

your statement above makes me think you don’t want a 35B. And you should not get an h bag like a lindy 30 simply bc it’s practical. For many of us, the lindy 26 is lighter, holds enough, and is infinitely more user friendly. JMO

ETA: I love H bags, and they comprise the majority of my bag collection. But I did not buy any of them bc of their practicality. I’ve also given a number of them to my mom. But when she wants to carry a practical bag, she uses her nylon le sport sac.

I agree on waiting for the perfect bag. Sounds like your heart wants a birkin but you brain is telling you it’s not practical. Both are wonderful bags but neither sounds like it’s “the” bag.

I have both. They are nice bags but if you will use it for travel, note that B35 is heavy. For travel, I like to use the L30. It is secure, unique, and you have the option to carry it in different ways.
