What do folks think of the Hermes Berline nowadays? I have been eyeing one for some time and saw the larger one at the store really beautiful red. The SA tells me this is the only in that color in the US and that they've stopped making these. Should I be worried about how old it is? Also the box it was in looked scruffed up and they don't have a pillow in the bag, which I was hoping they would to keep shape especially with the quilting. Looking for advice on the Berline in general and on this specific situation as well.

the berline you saw should be last batch available, i was also told it's been discontinued. I acquired a 2nd hand mini version at fabulous price and i like it. I might suggest you look at the reseller website too, most of them is 1/2 the price of retail and the condition is far better than you expect. Just my 2 cents

Btw, did you mean it is now discounted at the Hermes store? Were you able to get it discounted from the store, or 2nd hand?

I have a mini bought 5 years ago from my local boutique. It’s holding up well in perfect condition and I don’t baby it as much as my B/K/C. I like to refer it as sports Kelly. I also suggest that you buy one via resale for much less price. Good luck dear.

I am so sad to learn this. It is hard to know when less flashy Hermes bags get discontinued :'(

The Berline would be so awesome had the strap been longer.

Supposedly there is hope in the sense that bags like Danse got re-released after many years with improved strap options........

Hi ladies, I need help! I recently bought a preloved Berline 28 in gold phw. It is light weight and I like it a lot, but unfortunately its strap is too short to wear crossbody. I am looking for a new strap so that i can wear it crossbody.

Being experimental, I tried using my kelly28 strap on the Berline, but realized the kelly strap cannot be used on the Berline at all, the closures on the kelly strap are too small for Berline D ring. So that means I cannot replace the Berline strap with all those fancy Hermes canvas straps too since they have the same size closures as the kelly strap.

do any of you have a mini Evelyne and Berline please? Could you kindly try if the strap on the mini Evelyne can be used on the Berline please? If not mini Evelyne, how about an Evelyne PM or GM? Can their strap be used on a Berline please?

The newer Berline 28s come with crossbody length straps....not sure if you are still in the return window but if you can find a later model it could save some strap trouble!
