Hermes bag strap

Hi! I saw this beautiful strap in rose extreme alligator yesterday in store.
I didn’t try it and cannot find any pictures online. My SA told me it’s 7650$
I don’t own any piece of exotic so that will be my first. Intend to use it with my black Kelly 28 retourne

I’m not sure I should splurge as it’s / almost the price of a bag…

Any review / anyone has it and can share pictures ?

It IS stunning and would look amazing with a black bag... if you plan to use it, why not?

Who would think on could up-cycle a plain black Kelly, the thing is you could use it on so many bags and elevate each one

Wow! It'd be really hard for me to avoid getting it! I think it'd make your black Kelly just POP in the best of ways. And as others have said, you can use it on other bags in the future! Beautiful! If you get it post pics with your Kelly please!

Yes 900-ish usd for canvas material. The cost should be twice that for regular leather and more for exotic leather.

my apologies. I thought it was $750 originally not $7650. So that price you mentioned should be about right ✌

So unfortunately my SA told me that the alligator strap has been in store for months and it sold two days after I started this post.
my SA ran a search in all US and the croc strap was unavailable in all colors and sizes (70 and 85).
went back today to see other options and picked this beautiful harnachement strap in rose Azalee + it’s adjustable!
bonus I was also offered a mauve Sylvestre picotin

agreed that it will elevate any bags and it would be a fun combo
...but,
as pretty/elegant as it looks i dont think it is practical as the strap will rub against clothing and potentially other things which will likely cause uneven patina or "dull" effect on the alligator strap
