Currently in Rome right now and trying to decide whether to pick one of these up. Does anybody know the dimensions of the box that the blanket comes in? I really would like to put the entire box in my carry on luggage and not leave it behind.

I am assuming it comes in a box?

Mine came in an enormous box, bigger than a Birkin 35 box if that is some reference. Any chance they can ship it to you?

i dont think the box would fit into a carry on but surely you can check it in if you have luggage just devoted to it. i have seen the box and it is huge. if you are planning to get VAT refund remember you must carry the blanket itself in your carry on for customs to see or if you are lucky you can get your receipts stamped before checking in and getting your boarding pass just by showing your electronic ticket.

When you compare the price in Europe to the price back here in Canada, you won't worry about the box !!! :p

YUP! I've done some thinking and the VAT refund I would get back is definitely worth more than a box that will just sit around and clutter my house(although it would be nice to keep!)

My husband likes the navy colour. Any opinions on what would match a lot of different decor styles? I like the tone of the camel and grey colours.

I can't tell you how much I love my Avalon. At first I babied it and it was more of a display piece. Now it has transformed into " the magic cover" for my children. Whenever one of them is feeling a little sick they ask to be covered with it and they are convinced it makes them feel better....it works especially well for tummy aches, perhaps because of the warmth! I have the navy and plan to buy more. I have also discovered a very good liquid soap to wash the blanket and cushion with It's made by Loro Piana and I was blown away by the price, but I must say that it brings wool and cashmere back to its original softness.
