HI Guys, I will be in Paris in about 2 weeks for only 3 days...... what do you think the chances are that i can get a Herbag? I've never purchased Hermes before and reading this thread... looks like you can't just walk in and buy something:(

any help would be great! thanks!!!!

I live in Paris and I've gone to all 3 Hermes stores in Paris and have no luck. Since they stopped taking names for the waiting list, it is very difficult. This weekend, I went down to the French Riviera, Nice, Monaco and Cannes for 5 days. I visited the Hermes store in Nice and Monaco but they had no Birkins. Today, I went to the Hermes store in Cannes, walked in and asked the SA, and long and behold they brought the exact size, color of Birkins that I have been searching for the 8 months. I was so excited to get my first 35 cm, Etaupe color Birkins. I guess it pays off to be patient.... I would never thought of finding my Birkins in Cannes ! This is definitely worth the trip to Cannes this weekend. Good luck to all of you looking for a Birkins. Just be patient...

Congrats!!! Did you purchase anything else besides the birkin? It's so rare to see people buying birkin as walk in customers except for FSH!

Congrats!! Have they also stopped using the waitlist system in Cannes, similar to FSH? What about other stores in France? In the US, they still seem to be using a waitlist and also in Madrid (DH was there recently and they told him at least 6 months wait for a Kelly).
