My best friend need some wedding band advise and I told her that I would solicit the help from the experts; the ladies of the TPF jewelry section:smile1:

She was recently engaged ( her ring is apart of my signature ) and she is clueless on what type of wedding band to get; not because her fiancé can't afford a diamond band, it's because she feels guilty partly due the cost of her e-ring and doesn't want to appear greedy. She is not diamond
savvy at all LOL.
In our conversation, she mentioned to me that she is going to tell her hunny that she just wants a thin platium band, even though this is not true.
I love her and she deserves the best. Plus, I don't want her to settle, for she will regret it later.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated....

It looks like a three stone....

Hard to get a band to sit flush without going custom? My personal preference for three stones is a 1-2mm plain band. To not distract. But that's just me.

Will this be part of a set or will she wear them idependently? If she doesn't want to wear them next to each other we may have more options.

I can't see the semi-mounting clear enough to determine what would sit nicely with her ring. Could you post any additional pics?

I sure can. Once I return home, I will post them for you to see. What I can tell you right now is that the ring is a past, present and future set in platium. The center stone is 1.20 and the side stones .50 each. The center stone is mounted high with a small stone , I'll say about .2 mounted on both sides of the setting right below the center stone. She is very petite and the ring size is a 5.

She will be wearing them like a set, something like my rings that are in my avatar.

Mrs Moulds - Your friend could be on to something...If her ring is a three stone design the plain plat band might be a good choice. I will wait until you post a better shot of her ring to actual weigh in with my final opinion.

My friend is emailing me more pictures of her ring. Your suggestion makes alot of sence. Once I receive the pictures I will post them.

I really appreciate everyone suggestions.

How about the Tiffany Metro Ring? I almost kept it as my wedding band, but a lot of posters on here agreed it would be best with other rings because it is SO small (1.5 mm I think) and delicate.

I have a 3-stone engagement ring, although mine has princess stones. I wear a 5-stone band with it, which has 5 princess stones, each approx. .25 - it might be due to the shape of the stones, but my rings are pretty much flush against each other...

We have the same thing with the exception of the cut of the stones ( mine is round brilliant cut ) My flush against each perfectly. I let my friend try one my 5-stone band, but thickness of my band was too much and the rings didn't have that cohesive look. She need something that is thin...
