Hi,

Do you think a person with frame of 5'3 (no heels) 120lb frame would work with Birkin 30 or Birkin 35 better? Will B 35 too big?

I am being offered to buy a etoupe 35 PHW and I have to decide FAST since someone else is waiting for it too.

I think Etoupe Birkin is beautiful. However, I can't decide on etoupe color. Should I get that Birkin if I already have an etoupe Picotin and Orange GP. I been hoping to grow my collection with different colors. That being said if I take this Birkin, I would have 2 etoupe bags. Should I see it as 2 different bags, doesn't really count as 'same' even same color or should I wait for something that is not etoupe nor orange to get.

It has been a long while searching for a birkin for me since I don't live in a city that has Hermes store. Now this B 35 comes along and being offered to me, I feel so pressure making the decision quickly. It's not a small purchase for me, therefore I want to be sure of my decision, otherwise I might not be happy it later on.

Can someone/anyone/everyone chime in on your thoughts and your opinion of Etoupe Birkin pls. Should I get it or shouldn't I get it? HELP! Thank so much.

If you like the color, I think it does not hurt to have 2 bags in Etoupe. (I have several bgas in black which is "my" color")

I do not own any Etoupe myself, but I know it is a very versatile, all year color. It seems to me to be an excellent choice for a first Birkin. It is also a very much coveted color. So if you buy it and then decide to part with it for another one you might like better, you most probabely won't lose money, even if used.
(if you get it from the H stpore of course)

If you are offered the bag by a reseller, feel free to post it in the authenticate section if needed. We will be happy to help.

Perlerare: Thanks for the reminder of our authentication. However I probably OK this time since bag is from H store.
And appreciate your quick and wise response.

Nutz - I'm probably the worst person to respond because I just got my 30 Etoupe and LOVE the color!!! I just walked by it and said to DH, "I LOVE MY BIRKIN!"

I am 5'2 and 110 lbs - I find that the 30 is a good size for me and would guess that 35 would be a little too big. It's not the length but the depth/width which would make it a bit bulky for my frame. But it may be a personal choice because a lot of TPF'ers around our size prefer the 35. The one thing that I've noticed with mine filled with my stuff is that it feels a little heavy. With a 35, I can imagine that it can get heavy to be practical unless it's like a work bag.

Hope this helps!

I'm 5'2" and I have a 35 - for me, the 35 is more versatile, the 30 looks more dainty for some reason, and the 35 like more of a day bag, one that you can throw all of your things into. In terms of the decision to buy or not to buy, if you're really unsure, perhaps wait? It's a big purchase - you should have no questions and feel totally satisfied after you've paid; you shouldn't feel pressured and then wonder if you've made a mistake. Birkins are available - Dallas did have at least one on the shelf :D

In the long run, the 35cm is the more classic and ultimately, more valuable. I do not think the bag is too big for you but you should buy what makes you happy and is most practical. Etoupe is a beautiful and versatile neutral color. Cannot go wrong with it.

I just don't think that a 35 is all that large, especially if the straps are buckled. Most bags that are out there these days from N-M or Saks .. they are much bigger than a Birkin. I bought a Marc Jacobs bag online for a Christmas gift and whoa... it was humongous.

If you are looking for a casual tote then the 35 would be great and I don't think it is a problem to have two bags in the same color. There is thread on that topic.

If you are "girly" and wear a lot of dresses, you might like a 30 as it is more of a purse and not at all a tote. So, IMHO, that is the main decision. The 35 to me isn't huge at all.

Also, I'm not sure how many will see this thread in the Shopping Section ..

Good luck!!!

I think you made the right choice. You said you wanted to expand your color selection and getting another bag in the same color wouldn't do that. Wait and I am sure you will find something you love!
