Help! Would you exchange this basket bag?

Hello lovelies ❤️. I just received the small basket bag and LOVE IT. My only concern is this bump at the bottom. I know the bag is handmade and there will be some irregular areas, but I’m worried b/c this is on the bottom and the bump could break over time as I set it down on over the years. I would exchange for another one. What do you all think? Is this normal or would you exchange?

Personally I would exchange! I think I remember someone in this forum said that it'd be best to pick the basket bag in-person, as no two bags are made the same. Online purchase would be trickier, though but I think you could repurchase and return the one you have?

Can your bag sit flat on a surface? I have a small bump on the bottom of mine but it doesn’t affect the stability of the bag when it sits. It also doesn’t appear to be unraveling. I’m just going to leave it. If it bothers you, return it. I think these palm leaf bags must be difficult to manage with customers because by nature there will be irregularities. It’s just trying to predict which ones wil become problems.

Return. I say this even though i almost never return anything bc the issue looks structural

repurchase only if you can pick in person bc there is no guarantee that the next one via mail
will be any better.

I would not hesitate to return it. You are paying a very hefty premium for a palm leaf bag that would cost $30 or less if it didn’t have the leather bits and Loewe name attached to it. That never should have passed quality control. As it is a handmade item, by definition, no two will be exactly alike. Some weavers do a better job than others. I would only buy it if I could pick it out in person.

I'd go back to where you made the purchase & look at others that might be available.
If they more or less all look the same, I'd choose the best one
Most items that are handmade will have sone irregularities, but in this case I'd look at
several others, JMO

Thank you so much for everyone’s feedback you are all so wonderful! I’m not sure if I’m going to return for a new one or just return. I don’t have a Loewe nearby so I can’t go in a store and pick one out.

No doubt return! The bottom also just looks totally wonky and uneven - does he even sit up straight?
