My DH needs a new watch and I'm having trouble finding one to his specifications. First, he is a conservative businessman so the watch should be attractive, business-like and not trendy. Second, he's a fisherman so he needs something water resistant. And third, he is not flashy at all and would prefer to keep it under $2000 (actually he's cheap and would prefer to keep it under $1000 but I'm willing to spend more). He prefers a stainless steel bracelet band, however I stumbled across this Coach watch that I really like: http://www.coach.com/content/product.aspx?product_no=11161&category_id=54
Would the leather band get ruined from being exposed to water when he fishes? Granted, he only goes fishing a few months out of the year and it's not as if his hand is submerged for hours at a time. If the band did indeed begin to show wear, does Coach (or perhaps Movado) offer replacement bands?
Another watch I have my eye on is this Tag Heuer Aquaracer. http://www.amazon.com/TAG-Heuer-Aqu...1_36?ie=UTF8&s=watches&qid=1216091471&sr=1-36
Are Tags decent watches? Or is there another brand in my price range that would be a better buy? I know nothing about watches, much less men's watches so I appreciate any advice.
