So, I recently upped my bag game and purchased a Chanel WOC in caviar with gold hardware. I LOVE it but find myself only grabbing it for nights out and more dressy occasions. I "need" an every day bag. I have the Chloe Marci which I love. I have a Louis Vuitton tote that I don't find myself using often. I want something smaller than the Chloe, casual enough to grab when running around town, shopping or out on a casual evening. Cross-body would be great but not necessary and would prefer it large enough to fit a wallet, sunglasses and keys. Wise handbag peeps- help me spend my money.

It’s a common one but what about the Gucci Dionysus? There are different sizes and can be carried cross body or as a shoulder bag. I personally think this style is becoming a classic and will be still a go to piece in years to come.

I’d vote for a Dior Diorama or Gucci Dionysus. I love YSL bags buy had quality issues so I can’t recommend those.
If you’re open to something a little less dressy, I have found no better daily bag than the Fendi By The Way. This bag is so functional and so easy to use yet it’s still clean, classic and stylish. I looooooove mine. It’s shoujder carry with a useful but discreet hand carry option. And, it has internal divided sections (which I usually hate in bags but love on this one) which make organization a breeze.

Gucci Mormont!! I love mine in the red color which has been surprisingly versatile. You can’t go wrong with the black or nude color either. I love the bag for how spacious it is (despite the small size) and the fact it can go from day to night seamlessly. You can also wear it a bunch of different ways, including crossbody or shoulder carried. Yes, it’s a bit trendy right now but I think it will remain popular for awhile given its shape, style, and price point.
Some of the bags being mentioned, although beautiful, look a little too dressy for what you are looking for, in my opinion. Have you considered an LV speedy bandouliere? From what you say you want to carry, the 25 size would be good for you. Then you have the option of shoulder carry, crossbody, or handheld. I prefer the damier ebene for a casual look but can also be nice for dinners out. The bag is also super lightweight if that is important to you. You may not like the bag if you see them everywhere, but they are popular for a reason.
I agree with the Lonchamp Le Pliage Cuir. I have the small in black and love it. The only thing to consider is that the shoulder strap is not adjustable. I am able to wear it on my shoulder or cross-body. The same bag comes in nylon (Neo Le Pliage), and Longchamp does these in new colors every year. This is another brand that I really like because they are lightweight and a great price point.
