so I am looking for a new bag. I have a budget of around 1k. I don’t own any Massaccesi handbags and could use some help. I’m literally dizzy from all of the colors and options. I love drawstring/bucket bags and they seem to have one. I don’t know which leather to get, how much it costs in American dollars, or how to see it in the color I want because when I click on the swatch nothing happens...help, please!! Thanks!

First I suggest you go to the Massaccesi handbag thread and post this question there. You will get tons of help from the posters. I understand totally. I was confused also. I finally sent an email to the MM rep, Collette at the time, although she no longer handles emails, and told her what I was looking for. I wanted a lightweight leather that was not too fragile. She recommended the Merinos leather. I now have several MM bags in four different leathers.
If you send an email directly to Marco at
[email protected] and tell him you are a new buyer and would like to see swatches of leathers, he will send them to you. I don't know if he is still sending ALL of the swatches from all of the leathers like he used to do, but he will send what you ask for.

It also helps to read through a lot of the Massacchesi posts. You will get a great idea about the different leathers, the styles, etc.
Marco is wonderful to work with, very responsive to your emails and tries to please.
His weak spot is the web site which seems to never be quite finished, so I understand your frustration in not being able to see the colors. Bear in mind that colors on a computer monitor are 'averaged' and will never be quite right. However, I have to say I have swatches of all the leathers and the colors on the site above, the leather and customization reference thread, are really really close to the actual color.

Welcome to the MM world. Marco's leathers are second to NONE and I have eight bags at last count. They are stunning and the leather smells so good you won't believe it.
Also, on Facebook there is a Massacchesi BST (buy, sell and trade) page where we posters go to shop. I have bought two preowned bags there at half the cost.
PS google a Euro to dollars converter and you can see how much they cost in USD. The last time I checked it was 1.22 euros to 1.00 but it changes daily, going up and down.
