Help with diamond stud earrings

Hi ladies,

I really hope you can help me. I am looking to buy a small pair of diamond stud earrings (.30 carat each one) but I am failing miserably since I don't know much about diamonds! I live in Germany, so I don't really know where can I shop and get the best value for my money.

I have searched at Cartier and they Diamants Legers (.26 total carat) retail for 2100 euros. Tiffany's solitaire earrings (.31 total carat) retail for 1900 euros. Blue nile customized earrings (.60 total carat with stock number: LD04921367) retail for around 1300 euros. Also, I don't think I can buy brian gravin diamonds without paying extra customs, so I am not sure what should I do.

Budget is around 1500 euros ( i know its not much ! ) but could I get something decent with this? or should I settle for something smaller?

I would recommend not to buy from BlueNile. They don't own any of the jewelry listed and it comes from different vendors around the globe. The grading policy is also very inaccurate and you'd end up paying more for something that's not worth much. I'd recommend buying from a well reputable local diamond broker instead so you can see in person what you're buying. Unless you want to get a brand name, it's always a good idea to check/see diamonds in person rather than buying online.
