Help with choosing "right" hand ring....

Which right hand rings

  • Diamond bands -- Classic and Never Regretful

  • Tiffany & CO Amethyst Ring (beautiful, and you need 1 or 2 H rings and 4 sure the diamond hoops)

  • Stick with HERMES and skip the Tiffany(save the diamonds for the hoops! )

I've been trying to be good these year and not make impulsive purchases. I've been doing well by always weighing my options, waiting a few days before purchasing, and of course "tpf research." However, I find my self often going around in circles trying to decide. So her is the latest quandry that I need help working through....

Which Right Hand ring....

1. Diamond eternity band stacked: 3 bands, 1 round shared prong 1 cttw, 1 round/east-west baguette shared prong 1cttw, with a 3.95 cttw emerald cut diamond eternity band. -- total $8.6K jeweler will be sending pics and I'll post asap. I love love love this look and these diamond bands. So classic and elegant. My concerns are that it will compete with my wedding set (2 ct round solitare w/ 2 ct shared prong eternity band) and cost (not sure I want to drop that kinda money on a right hand ring).

2. Tiffany Sparkler amethyst. Love it. Beautiful. Quality of sliver compared to H is subpar-- but the color is T.D.F. The size of the stone is large on my finger -- but big is good, right;) Positive are I would be able to buy some diamond hoops and some other rings such as Hermes.

3. Hermes silver rings. Love H silver, like really really love it. I really love the silver CDC, debridee, torsade, nausicca, cdc pm rings. I'm sure I will find many others when I go thru the books. Hermes jewelry designs are so unique and beautifully detailed. Not to mention the AMAZING craftsmanship!!! Positive's are I would be able to buy diamond hoops and a majority of these for the cost of the diamond bands.

So there is my choices. Then I always go back to this thought..."would I wear it when I'm 80" and I remind myself who knows if I'll live to be 80 and if I do I'm sure I'll have worn the thing out my then:)

Your thoughts and 2 cents are always welcome as I consider it very useful in the tpf research"

I posted some pictures of similar diamond bands for an idea (pic 1-3), and also a pic of me modeling the tiffany ring (pic 4-5) (which may go back). I'm sure most of us here are aware of the H rings (if not post and I'll find a pic).

I don't think of diamond bands as "right-hand" rings, but perhaps it's just me or my age (66). I like my right hand rings to be totally different than my wedding/engagement/guard rings. I also prefer estate pieces - usually more unusual.I've also had such rings made - get something totally unique that way.

LVLover, I tend to like more of a statement ring on my right hand. Something kinda bold. Now, having said that, I often wear one of my eternity bands, like the first one you posted, on my right hand. I love it so much, and it just seems like a shame to have it languish in a box.

You can never go wrong with diamonds. The other two don't belong in the same category, IMHO. And I can imagine you'll tire of them when you're older. Plus with 3 different eternity bands, you can have different permutations.

I wear either a diamond eternity band (which was my grandmothers wedding ring, mom gave me when I got engaged) or my Cartier yg ring. Like having both unique and simple choices.

Here are some pics of the Hermes rings. This was originally posted in the Hermes subform were everyone knew what these rings would look like so for complete comparison.

piggy votes for hermès!! I like right hand rings to pack a bit of punch, but at the same time, I wear mine everywhere, day and night. I think an Hermès ring would make a great choice because you'll be able to pick a really unique design that will remain stylish over the long term.

I agree with India's point about eternity bands not really being "right hand" rings . . . i tend to wear them more as a "basic" akin to a plain diamond stud earring or something.

Not a huge fan of T&Co in general as I don't feel their items hold value as well as they used to, plus I'm always wary of choosing coloured gemstones for daily/regular wear, as they can sometimes look odd if your outfit colours don't coordinate.

I agree with India (I'm up there too, in age, LOL!). Maybe something Art Deco looking, always looks classy and definately a RHR.
