Help with choosing diamonds for stud earrings!

This is a plea for help from the diamond experts - Ame? ;)

I'm looking for a pair of diamond studs and am going with Brian Gavin Diamonds as they have the settings I want (3 prong martini). Looking for advice as to the best value/performance.

I'm looking for 0.8 - 1 TCW. My budget is $3000 with the settings taking out $500, so $2500 for the diamonds (approx). I want to have maximum sparkle and I'd prefer not to go less than H colour and VS2 clarity.I'm pretty colour sensitive, but if you think that I can afford to drop to I in diamonds of that size, happy to consider alternatives.

These are the options that the sales person gave me, wondering which is the best - also open to other suggestions.

I try to get the biggest bang for my buck. I'm a size gal but I don't sacrifice cut. Any H&A will be well cut. Studs can go as low as I1 in my opinion. Don't waste your money on clarity for studs. Anything from BG will be stunning.

Well, I was going to say Option 4 looked the best to me, but they're sold apparently, so Option 1 is my next pick based on numbers.

Unless you plan to reset these later into a ring, you could definitely go down to an I, possibly even a J. On your head, the body color/warmth will not be anywhere near as "prominent" as it might be on your hand, so I don't think that's anywhere near an issue at all, and when you're dealing with something REALLY well cut, the body warmth in an I or J wouldn't be very visible top-down anyway. Since these will be worn on your head vs on your hand, the side view of "warmth" won't be visible like it would with a ring.

As for clarity, I am not someone who sacrifices that too often, earrings or not, because I have mind-clean issues. But you could go down to an SI1 if you were comfortable with that and probably do ok. If you do have plans to reset these down the line to a ring or something, then perhaps stay higher up in clarity.

Also--HI 7/1!!! LONG TIME NO SEE!!!! Hope all is well.

The blue flor will hopefully negate some body colour. And I'd prefer to not go down past SI1 for mind clean concerns. Ran them both through the HCA and both scored under 2 so looking really promising!

Oh and Ame, you helped me a lot re. sussing out potential e-ring candidates last year - I may have an update for you very soon, I've been told :p

Ohhh I like those!!! They've confirmed that the strong blue has no visual impact, right? If not, SOLD. Those look perfect.

Looking forward to aforementioned update.... :graucho::D
