Hello Chanel Lovers!
Tapping into Chanel and I am so confused on what I should get. Help me decide between chanel small rectangle or mini square.

I will eventually want a classic flap but honestly with all these complaints on quality I can not justify the 10k price tag. Maybe one day.

I know I want lady diana and I will go secondary market for that.

Tell me the good, bad and ugly. I know I dont want the mini kelly’s and I am not sure about the coco handles.
Any pics/advice welcome!

I have the Mini Square, and as mentioned, the strap is noticeably shorter than that of the Rectangular Mini. For my height (5'4"), the Square Mini sits perfectly both crossbody and as a shoulder bag. Despite its size, it holds quite a lot—I can comfortably carry my glasses, sunglasses (in soft cases), phone, cards, keys, mirror, concealer, and lip gloss.

In contrast, the strap of the Rectangular Mini felt excessively long for me. When worn as a shoulder bag, it hit around mid-thigh, and as a crossbody, it was still too long.

Wait your square fits allll of that? The square looks so compact in pics!

I’m 5’2”, medium build, and this is where the mini hits me. It’s too long to wear as a shoulder bag. And, it’s on the long side for a crossbody, but I prefer a shorter crossbody (I also think the Evelyn tpm and most other bags are too long) . I think you should be able to find one in Paris, but I honestly haven’t looked recently

I’m 5’2” and I like my crossbody longer because I’m busty. I refer to shorter crossbody bags as “boob holders” because it’s what they look like on me lol
A slightly longer drop is more flattering on me. You can always have it shortened as well.

I double the chains on my minis and flap bags to wear on my shoulder.

Minis in various colors come and go here in the States. If you want black it could be harder to find than a less “classic” color or a seasonal color.

I find square cuter and chain is a better lenght for my 5'2. Rectangular looks more like classic flap, love it too. I use chain shorteners, Chanel chains are so long :sad: If you have easy access to boutique or reseller, you can go try both and see what works for you.
