Help with buying a Tiffany & Co. Necklace

Personally, I like the Open Heart necklace; it's classic. But you should think about your girlfriend's style a little bit. I feel like the Open Heart is more of a sophisticated shape, as opposed to the almost 3-Dness of the Folded Heart.
Either way, she's going to LOVE it, because it's Tiffany. If she doesn't, then she's quite special indeed

^^ if you're talking about the open heart, it comes in 4 different sizes. mini, small, medium and large. the small is the one that i see most people have and imo looks the best!
You're welcome. I actually had a large open heart (the 1" diameter heart on 18" chain), and in my opinion, wished I had gotten the medium or small. My facial features are small, so the big heart in contrast didn't look as good on me. I think you should go with the small or medium just to be safe.
A suggestion, if I may...
Since everyone and their mother has this necklace, I would suggest jazzing it up a bit like this: get the medium version and add another small heart made out of a precious stone. I saw this on a girl yesterday and liked the effect.
Tiffany sells the open heart pendant in a variety of stones (amethyst, jade, etc) separately (i.e. no chain included).
Or you can just get her one of the Open Heart pendants and buy a Tiffany chain to go with it.

To answer your other question: the other sizes don't look terrible, but the mini, small or medium sizes are better than the large size. Unless your GF likes big things...?
nekostar: that sounds really fun, a medium heart w/a small one made out of precious stone, how hot does that sound!!! i love jazzing up my jewelry and i'll try to entertain myself more by doing stuff like what you saw.
lumb3r, i think the large sized pendant is pretty BIG as neko described in her situation. else pertti has some pretty classic and fluid designs and i think whichever heart (refer. to size) you get her, it should complement her. the big one does tend to have an over powering statement to it. if that's what you want to go for or if that's what she likes than go for the large size

I think I'm going to opt for the medium size as that seems the best size, whilst the small being quite nice and all, kinda loses a lot of the effect it seems. I am kinda judging the sizes based on photos and not actual products because there's only ONE Tiffany & Co. outlet in the entire country so I'm buying this online! Hoping that I didn't make a bad choice with it...
Being a guy and all I'm having a hard time actually picturing the small heart pendant made out of a precious stone! If you had a photo I think that would help a ton : )

16" is a perfect size imo b/c she's petite, i'm pretty small 5'3 and i had a medium sized one w/the 16" chain and it worked out perfectly. you could still see it as it's close enough to the face rather than having the 18" chain plus another 1 1/4 inch of the pendant hanging it will be hanging where her chest is.

oh, btw, correct me if i'm wrong, but i think the precious stone pendants only come in the mini size which is pretty cute, but the medium sized pendant is much bigger. mini size a tad over 1/4 of an inch vs. medium 1 inch.
