help with birkin leather and color

hello everybody,

i have just joined the forum and i wanted to ask if you could help me identify the leather type and color of this birkin 30. it is from 2009 and i purchased it at the hermes store on madison avenue. if i should post this question in a different forum please let me know. thank you in advance.

thank you for the prompt response! i think it is swift as well. the color however looks very burgundy in real life. i have a kelly and a victoria in raisin [my favorite hermes colour] and the color of this birkin is much more red - for lack of a better analogy, it looks like a glass of cabernet!
i have not seen any recent bags in this color, and the receipt -unlike some other hermes bag receipts i have - does not list the color.

Wouldn’t your store receipt reflect the colour code and the leather name? :)

Apology as I’m no help! I saw receipts on reseller markets showing the colour n leather hence I thought you could obtain the info you’re seeking!

Glad that you got the details from the experienced TPFers!

everyone is so knowledgeable on this forum, and so helpful. the receipt never listed the information, and then in any event it was misplaced - a sad tale... which gets me thinking, what kind of system do most people use to keep their receipts etc.. organised? i would love some help in this area.

First thing is always make a copy of the receipt as the paper its printed on fades over time. I always place the copy in the zippered compartment of my bag since I never use it for anything. Snap a pic for iPad and original in file folder. This works best for me.
