I have a Carolina bucci bangle it's turned from white gold to a yellowish colour over time .... Is this normal?
Can it be cleaned back to white gold ?
Or would it just turn to yellow gold if left ?
How is this happening
It's 18ct solid gold

Yes. It's completely normal and something that should be expected with white gold jewelry. White gold (like rose gold or other colored gold) is yellow gold that has been mixed with other alloys to lighten its color. The most common white metals that form the white gold alloy are nickel, palladium, platinum and manganese. You need to take it to a jeweler for professional service.

^You can clean your white gold with a mild soap, water, a and a dull, soft toothbrush. Avoid exposing it to chlorine (swimming pools) and/or household cleaners/chemicals. You can store your white gold in cloth bags or boxes (preferably separate from other jewelry). As I mentioned before, you will need to take it to a jeweler when it starts to yellow.

The yellowish color is just the original color of the white gold alloy. Most white gold jewelry is plated with rodium to give it a white color. In your case, most probably the rodium plating has worn off. If you bring it back to the jeweller they can re-plat it for you and it will look as good as new.

Yes it's is the sparkle bangle in white gold
I didn't know Carolina bucci offered this thanks for letting me know as id much prefer to send it to them

is this the sparkle bangle? with that texture you'll have to send it back to carolina bucci to have them re rhodium it and keep the texture of the sparkle bracelet the same

Hi there! I was just wondering what ever came of your issue with your bangle yellowing? I am considering purchasing a Bucci 'disco ball' sparkle beaded bracelet and am wondering if I should avoid the white gold?

Also, does anyone have experience with Bucci rose gold over time? Thanks!

I have had the white gold disco ball bracelet for a couple of years and it still sparkles like crazy and is still as white as the day I got. Sad I no longer wear it because I got a Love bracelet.

I have no experience with their rose gold- sorry.
Good luck!

Thanks for the reply - that's great to know. I was actually wanting a couple to stack with my Love bracelet. Have you ever tried wearing them together?

It stayed yellowed and I've had other white gold lucky bracelets that have done the same thing over time . It's such a shame as you but white gold specifically for it to be white not yellow
I wouldn't mind if it just dulled a but but I really don't like how it turns yellow as it doesn't look like yellow gold either it makes it look awful :(
I don't know if all white gold does this
I've only noticed it so bad with the Carolina bucci peices
