I have heard caviar leather differs from year to year. I am considering these two medium flaps. The upper picture is from the 2022-2023 series the bottom pic is from the 23 series. Which bag has better leather? Thanks for your help.

To be honest, the top one looks flat and the shine on it gives it a "plastic" look. The bottom one has better quilts but lacking a richness in color. I think you can find better options than both of these ...

Do you think buffing the leather with a microfiber cloth or applying conditioner can help with regaining the richness?
