I got offered a beautiful K25 in Rose Sakura Swift recently from the boutique, and I already noticed the side dents when the S.A. unboxed it, but at the time he said Swift leather can sometimes be like that due to its soft character, and to be honest I was too excited at the time to examine further. However, I’ve had a chance to look into this more at home and it seems like the side dents are more than the “soft nature” of the leather - if you look at the inside lining of the side panels, it clearly looks like the bottom part is becoming detached (i.e. the lining isn’t properly glued / attached to the exterior layer - see third photo).

Anyone had this issue before? Anyone had side dents with their brand new swift leather bags from boutique?

I’m bringing this in to the store in couple days to have them look at it. I’m hoping they can fix it even if I have to wait 6 months 😔 because I really love the Rose Sakura and you all know how hard it is for one of these to come by… does anyone have experience with bringing bags back to the store? What options were you given?

I have a Lindy 26 in swift that is a few yers old and it does not look like that. Minimal sagging if any, and it is a Lindy, so it has been stuffed with stuff.

Defo go back to Hermes.

on the assumption that the bag is defective
you need to be aware of any legal rights rights you have in your country
regardless of what you might be told is a store's policy
consumer protection laws in the UK are very strong
and in simple terms: replacement; repair; refund*

*refund means that - not a credit note
going down the repair route can loose your entitlement to the other two

@teatimeinparis The inside of your bag really looks very far from what I would expect in a Hermes bag.
In fact I would be suprised to see that sort of finish even in a leather bag costing £600 never mind many thousands.
Echoing what @WhiteBus said.
If goods have a manufacturing fault you should be entitled to full refund...I know you just want your bag fixed but I would insist on a new replacement, if needs be they should offer you a SO of that exact bag.
Its a new bag and I would consider it very shoddy of the company if they merely offer to repair a brand new bag that should never have passed QC.
Good luck and keep us posted.
