I was putting away all of my winter boots today and just realized that the suede on the heels of my OTK thighland boots is coming apart ( see attached pictures). I have only worn these boots for a season and am really really disappointed. SW will only repair boots purchased directly from them, and these were purchased from Zappos. Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas on what I can do to fix these?

I've had my heel snap in two and a shoe repair place was able to find a heel mold that matched the other and wrap black leather around it so it looked seamless. I think black shoes are easiest so you should ask a trusted cobbler near you and see if they can do it.

Thank you! I'll try taking these to the cobbler. Its just disappointing to have quality issues like this on such a pricey shoe with such little use. xx

Heels can get scuffed and worn looking even if you wear it just once, doesn't matter how expensive the item is. A cobbler can probably replace it as black should be a reasonably easy color match, although this might happen again. You could try to cover the white parts with black marker or even black paint or nail polish. It probably isn't that visible when you are wearing the boots.

It’s hard to tell from the pictures, but the heel isn’t scuffed, the suede has torn. Once it tears completely down the edge, the suede will begin to come off from the around the heel. It’s already lifting in the areas with tears.

If you want to DIY salvage it, I would use some fabric glue to tack it down and then try to color the white parts black, nothing to lose. If it didn't work out you could just try to get the suede replaced by a cobbler.
