VCA lovers, I need help. Should I sell my Magic 6 motif necklace (multi color)?

For context, I acquired it last year and have never worn it. I tried it on maybe a handful of times. It just doesn't seem to be my style. I'd rather reach for my Tiffany Hardwear necklaces in gold or silver.

I'm also 35 weeks pregnant and I'm going through a purge. This happened last pregancy too where I felt the need to get rid of everything and its really nagging at me.

Let me know your thoughts! Much appreciated 👏

Why don't you reach for it? Not your style, not your colors? What is bugging you about it?
Can you make a conscious effort to try to wear it a few times and see how you feel about it?
Eta congratulations on your pregnancy!
Maybe I'll try the once, it's beautiful but I feel like it's not as beautiful on me. The nagging feeling is the need to purge.

So did you regret your purges last pregnancy? If not, sell it. When you buy something new, the tendency is to wear it a lot at first, so the fact that you haven’t is telling. Your Tiffany’s are all metal, so maybe get an all gold 10 motif instead of don’t very anything and wait until after the baby is here and decide. Good luck and congrats!

I would wait, and here’s why: For most of the year that you’ve owned it, you’ve been pregnant. Your hormones are wild, your blood volume is higher and jewelry simply does NOT look the same. Give yourself a few months after birth to make this decision. You might enjoy having a special piece to go out in after Baby comes. And while I remember the urge to purge when I was in late stage pregnancy too, the necklace takes up very little room, really.
All the best to you for a healthy birth and post-birth period!

Agree with this unless you have another special piece you want to use the funds towards right now.

This makes sense to me.

You have only had it a year. If you're undecided, I would go for caution. It's a fabulous necklace. Something made you buy it in the first place, I'm sure it was a considered purchase. It's not like a fast fashion trend, you an always sell it in the future.

Perhaps 'purging' is part of nesting(?). I would find out about your motivations. Just because we have natural drives. it doesn't mean that it's necessary to act on them. I think it sounds perfectly reasonable you want to make everything about the baby/children right now.

I think it's more likely that it's not an everyday piece and may take a bit more though re-styling. When you're ready come back and ask for help in choosing a neckline/top/dress/colours that work with it. That way, when you want to wear the necklace, or just because it's time to, you will have a range of great looking options that you know will 100% work with the piece.

Thanks all for your replies! I just had baby girl and I'll reevaluate after I deflate a bit haha.
Congratulations to you, that's so wonderful!
Put the necklace from your mind and just focus on yourself and your little princess now! Wishing you endless years of joy with your daughter ahead
(And a bit of advice from a long time mamma, give yourself grace and accept all offers of help or hire help if you can. Focus on healing your body and bonding with & caring for your newborn. )
