Help! Should I buy Alaia flats?

I know everyone's a shoelover around here but are they worth it for $324, marked down from $540? I've heard of amazing deals from Barneys and such with prices well below $300.

I would post a photo but it is copy-protected. It's basically a patent black ballerina flat, with cut-out small details around the edges and a string ribbon in the front.

Besides I'm not even sure if they'd fit me, I rarely see them at stores.

Alaia flats are great, Tuna. Very flattering on the foot, unlike some ballet flats which look like house slippers to my eye.
The soles usually need some kind of reinforcement because they're quite thin.

I have three pairs. I had to size down half to a full size in mine.
