I'm such an idiot! I was cleaning my leather purses and thought that it would be nice to condition the alligator watch strap.
Being an utter idiot, I thought that what worked on nappa leather would work fine on alligator. Well, now I've removed the luster on the strap and a huge patch is now all dull and lifeless.
What can I do to restore the luster? I don't know if this means that I have to buy a new strap. I don't want to have to do that.
The other alternative is to bring the watch to the boutique but they are not leather cleaners. So I'm not sure if it helps. The other option is to bring the watch to a leather cleaner since I do not know how to remove the strap.
I don't want to do that as the watch is valuable.
Any advice would be appreciated!
