Help! Right hand ring

Hi there,

I am looking for a right hand ring to wear in memory of a special person who passed away last year.

I tried a simple band but it just doesn't seem to work. I am a soft classic, like to wear classic clothing, timeless jewelry, work in an office and live in a safe urban area. All rings have 1 to 1,30 carats as I like a simple presence

I narrowed down 3 options, any help in deciding would be much appreciated..

The links aren't working for me, so I've taken screenshots of the images you embedded just to make sure we're talking about the same options.

I would suggest the one below. This is because this type of band is more durable than the others (at least that's what a jeweler told me), and also because it looks better by itself imo. The sides are clean and finished. They will not collect dirt, lotion, etc. It will be smoother and easier to wear everyday.




Due to the taller sides and the more complicated settings, these next two will be less comfortable to wear (because the prongs are tall and not smooth like the first option), get gunked up constantly, look like they are meant to be stacked with something else, and like I said above, according to my jeweler friend, the settings are more likely to lose diamonds. If you are right handed and are wearing this on your right hand, you should consider the durability issue, as your dominant hand is the one that does most things and the rings on that hand get more wear and tear. The prongs are more prominent and prone to getting pulled and the diamonds fall out.

Berengeria, my mum raised the same concerns and suggested a trilogy, easier for the hand and maybe more fitting with the memory as the three stones would be for the yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Might this be a case when mum knows best? I liked the second ring best but not sure if is ok for the prominent hand.

Sorry for the brain dump, I am putting a lot of pressure to get it right in time for the anniversary....

Mother almost always knows best (says a mother).

The trilogy ring is very beautiful. I imagine it would be equally as durable as engagement rings usually are, as this is basically the same style.

I hope whatever you choose will be meaningful and will help you to feel like you are honoring and remembering your loved one. It is a beautiful thought and I hope you find just the right piece.

The trilogy is lovely! I like that the best. If you were going to choose a band, I would go for the first one.

If it were for myself, I would prioritise having more internal metal surface for engraving to add significance for the special person you have lost.
