Dear friends! My heart has just dropped! I have found out that follicles on my new ostrich Capu BB are “peeling off”… Bought at LV store in Oslo just two weeks ago. Issue in the one of cognac colour. I didn’t find smth like this on my menthe one. What should I do? Is that smth I should expect from the type of leather? I have also send the pics to my SA. What should I do? Please help! Where to start? Could it be repaired? I love the bag! The bag was over 9000 USD, I am completely devastated…

This one smells like a refund. I doubt that the Vuitton atelier would touch it. A high-end leather craftman might be able to glue them flat discreetly, but that is a delicate job, and I don't know how long-lasting it is. If they have a newer batch from a different batch of skins, you can try to exchange them, but these exotics are usually made in small batches for each colour, and that's it. Such a pity. This bag is stunning.

Oh man, what a shame…I just replied to your show us your LV bag of the day post. LV quality has gone down recently. We really shouldn’t be finding these flaws at all. I feel like I needs to inspect my purchase so carefully these days.

Having said that do take it back to the store and hopefully they can find you a replacement if not you should get your money back. Also they can order you a bb size if they can’t find another. At least that’s what I was told. Keep us updated…

Oh no! My heart stopped for you! I have that same bag in cognac and just checked it over. I don't see anything like what yours is doing. I agree with @BULL, I would not risk doing anything with it at all. Just take it back and get a refund. Please keep us posted.

For clients who regularly buy exotics from them, they should be much more flexible. Even for the untrained eye, this screams that it wasn't reckless use, but the material is like that. If they don't want to part ways with the money before their Q4 results, they could give you a new one. Or make you a new one.

Ostrich can do that, but shouldn't! That's the difference. And especially not on a brand new item! I really hope you get either a full exchange or refund. That's not acceptable

UPDATE! Refund is denied so far, they took pictures and sent them to atelier in France… The are encouraging me to wait and see…
Did you buy this with Amex? I might contact them to find out if you can get reimbursement. I’m so sorry this happened to you. This should not happen with a brand new bag

Thank you all for the support!
The LV store took the bag back and they will make a new one for me. I was not insisting on refund cause I really want this BB, and the store manager assured me that the craftsmen will produce the new bag for me much sooner then if I should decide later and buy a new one later. For this particular colour it’s 52 weeks waiting according to the manager. And in my case of so bad quality control, they would do their best to shorten the wait time.

I will definitely post the pics of the new bag here.
