Is it normal? My puppy is 4 months old. I just found a little tooth on the floor. he did not scream or anything. Am I not supposed to give him chew toys and rawhide?
Help......

thanks for the info. I am glad I found the tooth. I will keep it for the tooth fairy.
aww..thats cute!!

yes as said already, it is normal. but after certain time (for my maltese it was about 10 months) if there are still baby teeth that do not fall out naturally then you should have the vet extract it. you can do it during spay/neuter procedure so your baby just needs to undergo anesthesia once.

Yup it's normal. One of my dogs started losing his baby teeth around then too. It's just like us humans - his adult teeth will grow in. No worries there.

thanks for the info ladies.
Should I feed him wet food? in case a lot of teeth started to get loose and it is hard for him to chew.

Were you already feeding him wet food? My vet said dry is better (for their teeth) in general unless you brush their teeth diligently. I dont think you need to change his diet b/c of his baby teeth. It is a natural process.

Yes, it is normal, and no you do not have to change his diet. It's amazing the size of the teeth that grow in. The pups go from their teeny baby teeth (so cute!) to having much bigger incisors.

When my pups were teething the vet told me it was OK to moisten their dry food (we don't use wet) with a little low/no sodium broth if they seemed to be having trouble eating. HTH.
