That depends. Both would work as an everyday bag, so in my opinion, it depends on the style you're wearing. The Speedy would look great with jeans and casual, whereas the Bagatelle could work for shopping excursions. Do you own both of them?

No, it is helpful. I don't own either and am looking to buy. One is slightly more expensive than the other. I'm looking to use for to and from work - commute in car.
My vote will always go to speedy bandouliere in monogram . After all these years and all the bags it’s still my favorite. Speedy b all the way : )
The Bagatelle is very nice, especially that it is from the golden days of Empreinte, but it is still no match to a Speedy.
I would go for the speedy especially if you are using for work, I’m always nervous in public with open top bags… I always thought the bagatelle was big bag? For me I have had better luck with monogram holding up better than empreinte. My vote is for the speedy. I also like the versatility of the speedy where it can be carried cross body, by the handle or as a shoulder bag..
My first designer bag purchase was a Speedy.
And I rarely use it.
I personally find it difficult to get into & get things out of. I did by an organizer for my speedy, which is a game changer!
Buy what you love & fits your needs.
