I need some PurseForum advice! I just bought a Chanel Business Affinity (which I love!) and plan to use it for weekends, shopping, running errands, travel, etc. - basically when I don’t need my long wallet, entire cosmetic case, agenda, pens, snacks, you know the whole kitchen sink . My issue is, I buy so many of these bags, which, yes, is first world problems, but at some point I think, how many is too many? My question is, if this was your collection, which would you get rid of, if any? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! (not pictured is my Chanel mini in black w/ ghw)

How many is too many depends on your tolerance for a full closet . Honestly, you'll find TPFers who have very large collections who don't feel the need to downsize. It's a personal thing...do you use all of your bags? I'm currently going through my closet and rehoming bags that I've decided don't work for me regardless of how much I may like them. Keep what you love and sell what you don't use any more. The resale market's pretty soft so if you do decide to sell expect to take a loss.

Thanks for your reply! I just thought it seemed like a lot for a specific type of bag, not to mention my medium bags, or my larger “work” bags. I’m fairly young and my friends don’t understand my obsession for handbags so I would never ask their opinion, which is why I came to the experts I loved them all at one point, but I’ve grown out of love with some for sure. Maybe I’ll rotate through all for a final round and try to determine from there which no longer work. Thanks for your help!

If it makes you feel better there are people here who have multiples of the same bag in various colours and leathers...

As I see it you have a good selection of black, neutrals, gold and silver hardware, different leathers and strap types etc. I would get rid of the bag I don't love enough, use at all or use enough to justify its presence in my life.
If all the bags you own have their own slot which they fit in your life and there's enough space in your closet then I wouldn't panic to sell anything; I'd look into how the new bag changes the way I use my other bags and then make a well thought decision.

I could justify them all.

I think I would be a little worried about a beige suede flap but it's a cool bag with a minimalist vibe.

Ah the Chloe...I used her for a solid year straight because it’s so easy to match, it’s not “flashy” - which was great when I was in Europe, and fits a TON despite its small size. The back of the bag was destroyed, just from picking up dirt, color transfer from denim, etc. and I paid about $300 to get her restored (which surprisingly took about 90% of the damage!) I think I’ll keep her around, we’ve gone through so much together :)
