Hi everyone!

I love rose gold. I found a couple of pieces from Na Hoku and I love wearing them. I also have a small collection of rose gold plated items.

For future purchases, I would like to avoid plate and two-tone metal. I would like to find a versatile rose gold ring and bangle that I love, but I prefer not to pay thousands of dollars for these.

One problem is that rose gold tends to disappear on my skin. That is why my pieces are mixed with other elements like mop, silver and stones, or are large like the ring and watches.

Here are the pieces that I own. The top row is 14k or 18k rose gold (except for the silver part of the nalani pendant), and the bottom two rows are plated. The watches are oversized. I think my favorite piece is the first one - the pink mop pendant. It is somewhat small.

Top row: pink mop pendant, 2-tone nalani pendant, teardrop earrings (not plated)
Middle row: hoop earrings, stacked ring, station necklace (rg plate over sterling)
Bottom row: fossil watch, mk leather watch (both about 38mm)

Do you have suggestions for pieces I should add to this collection?

As you can see, I tend to go for organic shapes without much texture in rose gold.

Below I will post some pieces I am looking at.

Here are the pieces I am looking at. The teardrop stud earrings on the right match the pink mop pendant above (even though the pics look really different), and I'm pretty sure I want those.

Top row: bony levy ring, rg bangle, pink mop stud earrings
Bottom row: leaf ring, pink pearl pendant, bony levy skinny bangle

The pink pearl pendant is a good price and is quite beautiful IRL. I would like a second rg pendant that has a little more presence than my pink mop. I was thinking more sparkle but I did love the pink pearl. I have a sterling cz pearl pendant but the rg pink pearl is much higher quality.

The leaf ring is a good price too, for a gold ring. For the bony levy pieces, I would hope for a sale.

Haven't really fallen in love with any of these yet except the stud earrings.

One thing I am grappling with is proportion. The pink mop pendant I have (pictured in the previous post) is relatively small (3/8" wide) and is on a singapore chain, which makes it show up more. The studs are proportional to it, but most of my other pieces are bigger, especially the watches. I thought I should have a set of delicate rose gold to compliment that piece. So the ring and bangle should not overpower it, at least that is what I am thinking, and why I think I should go for a bangle over a watch. Very delicate jewelry does not show up on me.

Would appreciate any suggestions for pieces and brands to look at that are not thousands of dollars. TIA!

Have you looked at Ippolita's Rose pieces? They are an alloy of Sterling silver and rose gold, similar to Tiffany Rubedo. The price point tends to be good and you can find pieces at Off 5th and Last Call. You can also typically use friends and family discount, as well.

Ippolita mixes rose with both subtle and bright semi-precious stones and her bangles come in four sizes so if you have small or large wrists, you can find a size that fits.

Thanks for responding!

Love ippolita! I have a lot of her silver. However I want to stay away from the ippolita rose' alloy and tiffany rubedo, and also the hammered texture because it was so addicting! For now, I want to stick with smooth rose gold, at least 14K.

The open teardrop earrings in the OP are ippolita 18K rose gold and are smooth. She doesn't do much of that unfortunately. I think it's only sold at bergdorf and maybe neimans.

I think you should go with a bangle in simple rose gold or even with diamonds as pictured since you don't have a bracelet or bangle yet. Am loving the pearl pendant too. Good luck.

I got the Tiffany Paloma Picasso olive band ring in RG and stack it with the same ring in YG and love all items in that collection. I also recently got a necklace made by Heather Scott in 18ct RG and the service was fantastic, although that might be too whimsical for your taste.

I love RG too! I think its timeless and feminine.

Thank you everyone! Please keep the suggestions coming. It may take a while for me to figure out what I want. Rings and bracelets are hard for me for some reason. I could fall in love with 1,000 pendants! (If I'm not careful, I WILL have 1,000 pendants!)

Loved the bony levy skinny bangle when I tried it on. Very delicate.

I'm also smitten with the pic of this Charlie Brown ring:

Ok, it's not THAT big. Maybe I can try it on this weekend. It doesn't really go with my mop jewelry....

There's a bony levy trunk show soon - maybe I'll find more rg there. :graucho:

I ordered this ippolita bangle on Bloomingdale's Friends & Family sale. The design looks perfect, although it's hard to tell with all the reflections. It is not 18K, it is plated over sterling and gold alloy, I think. I'll just have to take care of it.

Here it is with my other pieces. The ring is plated but the others are 14k or 18k. The pendant has a pink mop inlay.

Still thinking about a wavy diamond pave ring and maybe the diamond skinny bangle to layer, IDK. I may take more time deciding. I still want the teardrop mop stud earrings someday.
