Hi ladies, my best friend is pregnant with a baby girl, and her husband has enlisted me in helping pick out a surprise push present for her! My friend has a very casual lifestyle, and her current VCA collection consists of a RG 5 motif, Chalcedony 5 motif, and the 2019 Holiday Pendant. She is planning on purchasing this year's holiday pendant since it's the baby's birth year -- but does not know we are planning on another present as well!

Her husband and I have thought of a few things
- It shouldn't be too blingy, but it should be special enough for the occasion
- Preferably a pendant, since that is her favorite type of jewelry
- Should be classic and durable, so that one day they can pass it down to their baby girl!
- Budget of around $10k

With those ideas, we thought of the pave vintage pendant and the pave frivole pendant, but not sure between those two options and which color gold, since she wears all three. Hoping to get some insight from you ladies, or possibly some more suggestions!

Having had 2 babies and currently pregnant with my third, I definitely think nothing sounds more heavenly in those early postpartum days than getting a chance to get your hair cut, nails done, and take a trip to VCA to pick out a beautiful piece. An opportunity to get out and feel human for a few a few hours and buy something super special. I think the idea is lovely, but maybe he should give her a card that promises a trip to the store where she could pick it out herself, either before or after baby’s arrival.

I actually got my yellow gold 10 motif when I was 9 months pregnant and it was a very memorable experience being at the store and then bringing the baby in after to meet the SAs I spent a really.long.time. with narrowing down the perfect piece.

Either way, I think she and her husband should be the ones involved in this.

You are an amazing friend for being so thoughtful. My vote is definitely for either pave VA or Frivole pendant since you said she is more of a pendant kinda gal. I am actually leaning more towards the pave VA in RG for her since she already has the RG 5 motif bracelet so the two will make it a well coordinated set. Plus, RG does make the piece more causal to wear everyday.
All the best in deciding. No matter what your friend receives, the piece is bound to be extra special since it commemorates the birth of her child plus it’s something both, her friend and husband picked out for her.

Pave VA in RG! She's having a girl, so pink gold is perfect!

Being 2 weeks postpartum myself I say this!
