help! paint on my hamptons weekend tote!!

I helped my friend paint her apartment this weekend and as careful as I thought I was I got a little spot on my WHITE hamptons weekend tote ... any suggestions as to how to get it off....?!?!?!?!

No it kind of soaked in... I already tried just water, then with mild soap... I don't want to do anything else that would ruin the rest of the bag ...

is it leather or fabric ?

you need to find out if the paint was water based or oil based. Very important !

Be careful - I tried cleaning some dirt off of my white Hamptons tote and the C's started coming off!
