we are joining cosmos european tour this april so i'm thinking of buying some bags like, ysl, bottega, fendi and lv coz from what i heard its way cheaper there. any views on that? and can anybody here inform me on where to go if i want to check out some outlet stores that carry high end brands? we are on a tour so i appreciate some suggestion near our area,2 days in venice,2 days in rome 1 day florence and 2 days paris...thanks!

There is an outlet mall outside of Paris near Eurodisney called La Vallee Village. You have to take the RER commuter train there. The stop is La Vallee Village. Its about 30 mins from Paris. There are some designer outlets there like Gucci, Burberry (and I think,) Chanel. Not sure what the handbag sitch is there since I have not been there in a few years.

If you are looking for bags in the regular department stores, you will get a tax refund of approximately 12% if you spend over a certain amount. LV in particular is a bit cheaper in Paris.

There is also an outlet mall near Florence (I think) but I can't recall the name. Hopefully someone else will stop by and will know.

There are several outlet villages in Italy run by McArthur Glen - one near Milan, one near Rome and another near Florence. The one near Rome has Etro, Ferre, Dolce & Gabbana, Ferragamo, Valentino etc.

The really high end outlet is called The Mall and it's just outside Florence. It has brands such as Gucci, YSL, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Ferragamo, Bottega Veneta, Hogan, Valentino, Ungaro & Loro Piano.

There are other outlets near Florence such as the Prada and Fendi outlets that you really need a car to get to.
Here is a good site which gives you more information

Hope that helps and that you find lots of good buys!

There is an outlet outside Florence and you can join an outlet tour for half a day. The tour includes 2 way bus ride and a trip to prada space outlet and another one which I forgot the name, but it has tods, hogan, salvatore ferragamo, etc.

Paris La valee also has tours, where a shuttle bus will drop you off in the morning and pick you up around 3 pm. There are brochures that you can check out
