Hi. I've read every post & thread about the "reputable" Hermes resellers. Can anyone tell me if Luxury Zurich is the same as Luxury Shops Zurich? The former is the one named as reputable but wondering if it's one in the same. Anyone buy from LSZ & any name there you'd recommend?

Also, is Clemence that much heavier than Togo for a 35cm birkin? I know it's slouchier but I heard the same color can look different on different leathers plus Togo is the lightest. I've also read in a TPF post that Clemence can crack a little on the bottom as the grain tends to move outward with age. Thanks for all of your help! Really looking to hear what you have to say!

IMHO, Togo is not the lightest out of H Leather, my big sister's epsom 35 Birkin is lighter than her swift 35 Birkin, and swift is a tad lighter than her TOGO 35 birkin........

Clemence is definitely heavier than togo. If you are looking for a light birkin, epsom, box, or chevre are your best bets. Swift in itself is not that heavy, but when you put items in the bag, that weigh the bag down, you the bag "pulls" and feels heavier...even in a 30cm. I have not heard about clemence cracking or grain moving at the edges. If you take care of your bags they will last a lifetime.

I have both Clemence and Togo and to be honest there isn't a notable difference in weight of both leathers. My Clemence birkin is the one I've had the longest (coming to a year and a half) and it doesn't have a single crack anywhere, it simply looks slouchy which is a look I personally love.
For lighter leathers I'm with hermesmonkey: try one of epsom, box, chevre. I own a swift HAC and it is also very light compared with my other bags.

Hi,

This is my first post. I have finally decided to buy a birkin. I am very familiar with Chanel, Gucci, and Versace, but Hermes is new to me.

I decided to buy a 40cm birkin in Togo, and I would like to know if there is a difference in the quality of the Togo leather between bags? I have noticed that some Togo bags have many "veins" and others do not seem to have "veins" at all. Are the "veins" a sign of higher quality leather or is the lack of "veins" a sign of higher quality leather?

Thanks!
