Hi! So, I kind of forgot that my bday was coming up soon (Sept) since this year has been such a blur. But my BF recently asked what I wanted this year. I haven't been shopping in stores quite as often, so I don't really have a particular bag on my radar at the moment :facepalm:

I want to preface this poll first by saying that in my current collection I have several Chanel CF's (blacks and nudes), an electric blue old medium Boy and some Coco Handles. As for Dior, I have a My Lady Dior from my bday last year and some vintage Dior's (early - mid 2000s)

Sooooo.... would you rather the Dior Montaigne Chain 30 in navy oblique or a small Chanel Boy - I was going to visit my SA tmrw, so unsure on the color - but likely something fun and seasonal / no neutrals. (PS. I don't necessarily want the pic I posted, and I don't even know what's available at the moment. It's just for reference).
Or does anyone have any other suggestions??

THXX:heart::heart::heart: -D

That’s a great boyfriend haha! Honestly I wouldn’t get the boy, but that because I’m bias and really don’t like the design. The resell value has gone down the drain in recent times compared to the classic flap.

For the dior, it’s a lot to pay for a part canvas bag. But will pick the dior if I had to choose between the two. Maybe I would explore an Hermes entry level bag as well or save up for a kelly.

Since it’s a birthday gift, it will hold sentimental value and you probably won’t resell it. Best to get what you really like, and something that is really timeless!

if only I would get the call from Hermès! I've been on the waitlist for a green Kelly 28 for about a year now. I called recently, and still no luck:crybaby:I would get that bag in a heartbeat!! but still patiently waiting....

After some more online stalking, I'm leaning more towards the Dior in the blush grained calfskin opposed to the oblique now... you're right, the canvas isn't very unique and somewhat costly for what it is. Tbh, it doesn't make my heart sing, but that blush calfskin is pretty darn gorgeous :love:
