hi everyone, need some help with the clou sizing. I searched the forum, the internet as well as YT but couldn’t find a lot of helpful info on this topic, only loads of information re Love bracelet.
I even read the whole clou sizing thread.

Unfortunately it seems I am in between sizes. My wrist measures exactly 15cm over the bone. My love in RG is the size 16 and my RG thin Clou is a 15.

The pave Clou in 15 (as with my other bracelets) only goes over the bone if I help manually or if I‘m cold. The size 15 I can wear on both wrists but the 16 is too big for my right arm. Although I intend to wear it on its own, if I ever want to, I could pair the 15 with my other bracelets. I like the way the 16 looks, however, due to the heavy nail-head and the gap to my arm the bracelet is prone to rotating and I am worried it will get banged around more.

For those of you with the large Clou and who were in between sizes, which one did you go for and why? And did you ever regret the size you got? I also read someone said 20 years after owning the clou, the skin gets more markings from the nail head as the skin ages. I am going back and forth and just cannot decide. TIA for any advice  Of course a size 15.5 would be perfect :oh:

the first 2 pics are of the larger one and then there are pics of a side by side and the last ones are of the smaller size. Don’t mind my other bracelets on the side by side, I pushed them up so they wouldn’t get in the way

I prefer the larger size on you. I like movement and ease of wear.
Although I do not wear Cartier bracelets, I do occasionally wear the watches,
and I wear other bracelets. When worn loose, I find it very Convenient to push the bracelet
or watch up my arm and out of my way (when typing etc).

But, I believe I am the minority viewpoint on TPF.

ETA: in addition, in the summertime, I prefer to wear jewelry a bit loose.

15cm at the bone but what size is your wrist over the narrowest part? Is there any spontaneous movement with the size 15?
good question  my wrist measures 14.5 cm at the narrowest part and the size 15 isn‘t fixed, it moves a bit up and down and it can turn but only counterclockwise and only if helped manually (hope this makes sense)
I think I will have to go and try them on again… atm the 15 is reserved.. I will drive my sa nuts for sure :P

For $48K, you can drive them as nuts as you need to find the right size.
I think this is a tough one. Ultimately, you don't want the thing flopping around, but you don't want it to be uncomfortable either. Typically you size down one size from what you wear in Love for JUC. But if you aren't wearing it on the same hand, this may not be relevant - I'd probably wear an 18 Love on my left and a 19 on my right. I think ignore the numbers and see what feels right. Would recommend going in warm after a salty meal, though.

I think your SA will be patient with you, given the price point. My wrist is similar size and I found the 15 JUC comfortable when I tried it with my 16 Love. Another consideration of course is that the 16 JUC will not stack well if you do want to wear it with your 16 Love as it will overlap. If you decide to wear it with your Love and you wore the Love closer to your hand (like in my pics) I suppose it would not matter that it doesn't easily glide over your wrist bone since the Love would for the most part prevent that anyway. You didn't mention if the 15 felt comfortable however and that is really the most important thing to consider imo.

eta: I was warm when I tried the JUC on lol

I agree :) Most likely I will have to try them on a couple more times… unfortunately the closest store is an hour away and that’s why I made so many pics as well as videos ;)
Good tip re going in warm the next time! Also, next time I will most likely take off all other bracelets so as not to be too distracted by anything else and try walking around wearing them… but you are right, it’s a very difficult decision:/ tysm for your reply <3

yes, this is true  and because of the high price point I am a bit worried I will make the wrong decision so better to take some time to think it through ;) tysm for your reply as well as the pics - and your Clou looks absolutely gorgeous
both sizes felt very comfortable but it was a bit worriesome that the larger one just spun around my right arm… will have to go try them on again soon, hopefully this week. Atm the 15 is reserved for me. I have not tried to wear the clou closer to my elbow which I will surely do the next time! Also, I kind of liked how the 15 appears fatter… but I also like the how the looser one looks on… I think if it weren’t so expensive I just would’ve purchased the 15 and would have been done with it :cool: this are the sizes I chose for my love and other clou and didn’t overthink it so much.

I’d go with the larger one all day long. And did, with my JUC—my wrist is 16.5 cm at the bone and my JUC is an 18.

If you ever swell or live in a hot climate or gain weight, you will be glad of the extra room. I also like the JUC worn looser, like a bangle. But you’re the only one who knows what’s comfortable for you.

tysm for your advice  wow, that means your gap is larger than if I were to get the 16! Does the Nail head wind up often on the underside of your arm? If you have a pic it would be most helpful but only if it’s not too inconvenient 🤗
I also kinda like how the looser fit looks… but I am also worried if I get the larger size that it might get banged up sooner than later 🙈

Honestly, yes your things might get banged up a bit, but it’s better than leaving friction marks on your wrist or feeling like you can wear it best when you are cold. . . :)

Only you know how the two bracelets feel on your wrist but...IMO, you will probably regret purchasing the 15. You are already thinking you're between sizes meaning a 15 is on the small side. As mentioned, heat, water retention and weight gain will make it tighter. My "official" Cartier size is 17 but my JUC is an 18. I prefer it looser and like some "dangle". Also - with the extra room, I can wear it comfortably over a long sleeve shirt or sweater. Perhaps wear something long sleeved for your next trip to Cartier :)
