Help needed! Is this chain normal?

Ladies, I need your expertise! I just bought a M/L flap in lambskin with gold hardware (my very first Chanel handbag). When I'm admiring it, I couldn't help but noticed that the chains where the leather ends meet are not lining up nicely, please see the attached pic. Since I don't have any other Chanel bags to compare with, can you please comment if that is normal or the chain is defective? Thanks a million

I think it's normal if I remember correctly . If that part bothers you, you can move the chain so that part is hidden. Because the chains are meant to move around, somewhere along it will have to be a seam.
