hi all!

I am very close to purchasing a stone, but I am very confused. There are two stones that I am looking at:

#1:
The diamond rates a 1.9 HCA, which from what I read and researched, this is good. However, I am concern about the feather and cloud on the table. Do you think this will be an issue since it is on the table?

Should I be concern about the 60/60 ratio?

I read the table should ideally be 55-57%. Please help, I am so confused.

Neither. First one is 60/60. Even with crown and pavilion angles formation missing, I can already eliminate it for possibility of lack of fire. Second one has deep angles, and will very likely have leakage.

Look up AME's previous post about cheat sheet for cut specification.

Looks like you want near 2-ft, colorless range Diamond. Problem with the above two stones is that you have no information about the clarity, if the stone is eye-clean. A good percentage of Si1 stones contain visible inclusions. You want to make sure the one you buy has inclusions that you cannot see with unaided eyes.

What is your budget for the Diamond (alone)?

Thanks so much for your input! My budget is roughly $18k-20k. I'm so confused now ahh. Thanks for helping me eliminate.

James Allen is going to send me an Ideal Scope on the first stone.

Pass on both. Some people don't mind the look of a 60/60 but they're not firey as much as they're "white." They simply do not appeal to many people. Don't waste your few opportunties for scopes from JA on that one. They won't give you a ton of those images so don't waste it on this one. Just skip it.

Regarding the 2nd--don't bother with any further concern with that stone.

Look for my cheat sheet, it's in the FAQ thread in the stickies above.

ALSO--for future--do NOT post direct links to stones out in an open post like this. You can post info about the stone but never a direct link, never identify the actual stone. You are welcome to PM it to me, but if you post it out in the open and someone like me or christiflora says it's a winner, it's as good as sold out from under you and you will start all over again.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I really appreciate your opinion. I have another stone that my jeweler sent me, would it be okay to post the GIA#? Your inbox is full.

She's exchanged a few with me so far. Don't get caught up in "getting a good deal." There are no deals in diamonds. If something is "super cheap" for that size range, there's a reason.
