I’ve upgraded all my workout clothes and I’m feeling kinda cute when I go to the gym. So I think it’s time for a new handbag. (Any excuse right? LOL!)

My current bag is the perfect size and very functional with two roomy compartments, adjustable strap and a plastic-y material that easily wipes off.

My must haves for my new bag:

• Small / medium size
• Crossbody / messenger (NO duffles, totes or backpacks)
• Durable, cleanable material like nylon, etc. (this will live on the gym floor while I work out)
• Must fit: small wallet, iPhone, iPhone armband, earbuds, sunnies, weight training gloves, lotion, tissues, snack, keys, misc.
• Good organization: sections, pockets, etc.
• Black or a related neutral (grey, silver, etc.). No browns or earth tones.
• Pretty not just plain and serviceable

I’d like a bag from a premier brand but could be open to the perfect bag from a non premier brand.

I like this Prada nylon messenger and it seems pretty close in size and function to the bag I have. but was hoping I could find something just a little bit more pretty / interesting. F2BD3255-BD63-447E-8D32-9D6EBA00F6E8.jpegTHANKS IN ADVANCE for your help and suggestions!

MZ Wallace has quite a few bags that might fit your requirements, although they're contemporary not premier -- a lot of their Bedford nylon bags have good organisation, and multiple strap carrying options so that they can be carried crossbody/messenger style too (e.g. hobo/shoulder straps that can be swapped out for a messenger strap). This link should show you most of the Bedford nylon bags that would fit the bill: https://www.mzwallace.com/shop/pleats-pockets

Their Crosby line might also have some non-tote styles that could meet your requirements too, such as the Small Crosby and Crosby shoulder bags.

Hope this helps!

I just bought this bag in teal over the weekend and also recommend it. IMHO, a gym look should be cool and casual, and luxe doesn’t really fit the bill. The Prada bag looks a bit dated to me. Lululemon is fresh and modern and I think I’ll end up using this bag a lot—for hikes, travel, and even long city walks. When it gets chilly, I think it will look cool with my black quilted Barbour jacket :).

I found this bag at an outlet for $49 and was super excited, but damn, Lululemon clothes are fantastic and I ended up with some of those too! Sigh—still way better than a luxe bag!

I came across this Lululemon crossbody. Pretty cute and shiny!
Of course there's always the (obvious) Lonchamp route - Néo crossbody comes in a variety of colors and can take a beating.
