Please help me to pick my first Rolex!

1. 31mm DJ, yellowgold & steel, fluted bezel, with MOP dial with 10pt diamonds

2. 31mm DJ, rosegold & steel, fluted bezel with chocolate dial with 10pt diamonds.

I tried three display watches for a reference. I have a hard time deciding between yellow vs rose gold. What are some factors into choosing the right gold color watch?

I also like the YG on you, particularly the first picture. Rose gold to my mind is a bit more of an acquired taste and doesn’t suit all skin types. What colour is most of your jewellery? I’d match to that. Also, I reckon it would be easier to resell the YG, should that be necessary, ever.

I'm biased because I own the first Rolex in the 31mm size. It's the perfect watch IMO. The jubilee two tone band and fluted bezel are classic Rolex. The white face makes it very readable. And while I'm usually all about the bling, the diamond markers don't do anything for me. They don't really sparkle. The roman numerals are perfect.

I do think the YG is a better option, it looks great with your skin tone.

a big +1

People don't quite appreciate the beauty of the white dial unless they own it--always fresh and cool, never something you'd tire of.

Which one did you choose? I’m in same dilemma as you, unsure which one should I go for.

Just wanted to say, how you feel when you see and try on the watch with the exact requested configuration is what truly matters.
Yesterday I got the call for an Everose watch. I was sure I was going to love it! It was a beautiful watch on the tray! But as soon as I tried it on, I realized I wasn’t in love. My yellow gold jewelry made the Everose look more copper tone. I was sold on the MOP dial, which I couldn’t take my eyes off, but not the Everose color.

Now you need to decide the same. Narrow it down. When trying on these watches, was there a dial color, style, or metal that really pulled at you? One that stood above the rest?

What size was the watch you tried on?

I love the RG and I love the white dial with the roman markers. Those are beautiful watches. But you have to go with what YOU love, not what we think. Go with your heart and go from there! Good luck.
