Hi there,

which of the following three Harmony engagementrings would you choose:

1.
0.24 ct F VS1
€ 2,350.00

2.
0.25 ct G VVS1
€ 2,400.00

3.
0.26 ct F VVS1
€ 2,700.00

Since I am color-sensitive I am relatively undecided, it is the question of which ring I have more of. Since I live too far from a store, I cannot see both rings in person, especially since the stores are also closed due to Corona.

Thank you

Definitely 1. With the other rings, you will be paying more for something you won’t even see.

Can you get other specs of the ring? Proportions? Based solely on the information you provided go for one. But buying this way without anymore information is really a guessing game. You have no idea of stone cut.

All Tiffany diamonds have a superior cut. Though you can certainly find the same quality of diamond for less, it is one things you don’t have to think about when going into Tiffany.

I own many Tiffany diamond pieces and there are some differences with the stone ratings. My yellow diamond (which is a .22- I think) is rated at very good while my engagement ring (1.02) is excellent/ideal. So size is not a factor in cut.

I also tend towards the first ring. Unfortunately, I have no further data on the respective diamonds to evaluate the cut. I would like a ring from Tiffany because I'm a big fan of their jewelry and I already have some of Tiffany's.

I just saw a used Tiffany Harmonyring which was never worn with the following data:

0.20 ct. F VVS1
€ 1.650,00
Triple Ex
Fluorescence: none
Total Depth Percentage: 62.5 %
Table Size Percentage: 54 %
Crown Angle: 33.7
Pavillon Angle: 40.9

The result is a value of 1.1 for the HCA Cut Calculator. It says: "Low HCA Scores and bigger sizes diamonds can appear dark when viewed close up."

The sentence unsettles me a little. Would it make sense to buy this used ring? After all, it is significantly cheaper than the others from the Tiffany Store, but of course also smaller in the carat number.

I definitely understand wanted a ring from Tiffany. Buying used makes sense if it is from a trusted seller with a return policy. Newer Tiffany diamonds have numbers inscribed into the ring and stone. If those serial numbers match up and stone shows no sign of wear- then buying used is great.

As for the sentence, I wouldn’t worry. The dark remark refers to much larger stones.
