I think a pochette felicie is a good choice, but it is quite small. However it comes with the inserts which can be used elsewhere, the chain is removable as well, so it could be a large wallet or a small purse. Without the coin purse I can squeeze in sunglasses in a pouch, lipstick, and my phone without its case. You can get a lot of use out of it and price point is great.

For something bigger, I am also a speedy fan. I have a 30B and I find that too can be versatile with the adjustable/removable strap. And holds a TON.

Which bag would you choose with a budget of $2500 (less would be ideal though) if you are looking for something more timeless and durable?
If you look at the bags that LV have continued to produce, these are the ones likely to stand the test of time. Speedy and Alma are good options. Speedy is more casual than Alma so depends on your day-to-day needs. I love the Speedy 25b and have just received the noir empriente version, which suits my WFH/mum lifestyle. If I had an office job then I would love an Alma pm.

I have noticed that bags with folded corners tend to not be as durable and obviously vachetta does age - some people like this and some don't. Bags with flaps can sometimes end up with wrinkling at the fold. These are some of the things to consider when looking for durability.
