help me pick my first black bag! :D

Hello ladies, im planning on getting myself a new bag in black color (small or medium), Which one would you recommend for me? I was looking mostly for something casual ( like the Celine -nano laugge bag) its so lovely, minimal, and casual and similar to my mini papier A4 Balenciaga which i really like so much.

But the other day i was checking out velentino’s Rockstud spike (Noir) .. medium Size. It was a nice bag i dont own a similar design , i feel it could be worn casually & formally because of the classic touch to it.

what do you think i should get? That would last me longer and be useful in the long run.

other suggestions are welcomed! anything that’s casual/dressy (not necessarily trendy). Looking forward Thank you !

From these, I vote for celine nano. It is actually my most used bag in my collection. It checked all of my list: small yet fits a ton, can be worn crossbody or top handle, can go day to night (just detach the strap and use it handheld), practical, so light even i fill it to the brim, and most of all: a celine classic.

So if you want something for the long run, you cant go wrong with the nano. As for the valentino, i think it’s relatively new?

Another option that i can think of are LV alma bb in epi noir and fendi mini peekaboo.

I like the Celine Nano for the reasons nanads mentioned.
Other options that I also like are the Saint Laurent Souple Sac de Jour and the LV Montaigne bb in empreinte noir. These are all my favourite black bags at the moment that I am also considering.

Your mods are awesome & they all look great on you but being a Celine lover myself, I’m easily agreeing w/ @nanads & think the nano is a FAB option! Best Luck deciding!

Last month, for my first black designer bag, i decided to realise my dream of buying a Saint Laurent Sac De Jour in the nano size. I actually wanted the celine nano, but ended up buying the saint laurent because it’s basically the same shape for waaay less money! The Celine is such an amazing bag, i’m pretty sure you won’t regret buying it (but you should definitely try the saint laurent on first- you’ll fall in love!)

I find the Celine luggage totes to be a pretty classic Celine piece now. They have been out for years and are still selling. While I love Valentino rockstud bags, I find that particular rockstud bag to be very trendy. If you want a Valentino rockstud bag that is more classic and will stand the test of time, I suggest something like the Glamlock bag that has been around for years.

I love both ....in fact I have ordered a Valentino spike bag myself, but it’s in ivory and large. However I still wanna get a Celine nano, as I was drooling over it since 2 years ago, but once concern is that it’s been around for so long and I am wondering if it’s still worth investing all that money, what do you girls think, is the Celine luggage style (esp nano) done ?
