im saving up for a rolex or a chopard but of course, i can't afford to buy that now... im thinking just getting an inexpensive watch first since i really need a new one. my old one was a wenger which i got as a gift almost 10 years ago. i think i want something with color not too flashy though so i can use it for work. i find movado watches too plain. im 24 y/o and i work in a hospital. please help. (a pic of the watch would really help) thanks!!

Toy Watch or Philip Stein come in some great colors and can be found for under $500 at your local jeweler.

For $500, you can get a pretty nice Seiko or Citizen. Or if movements are important to you, I think tissot might start in that range, too. If you're willing to do some research, you could browse some watch forums and buy a slightly used higher end watch there. Good luck!

All of the above sound great, but if you work in a hospital environment, you would want a watch that could stand up to a lot of abuse. Swiss Army makes a few models in that range. Seiko Coutura's are also pretty good. BTW, I have a Guess Collection (yes, Guess) that was classic in design, Swiss made and was about $250. (tank style). It has 5 AtM and a 10 year warranty.

http://www.jomashop.com/philipstein.html they have great prices here. i really think you should go for the large size. but first try to go to like Neiman's, Bloomingdales, or Saks to try them on.

I got my mini from jomashop.com for a great price (around $400). My friend has the large...it is REALLY big! The small is NOT a small watch!

I'd also check out Michele - you could get one without diamonds in your budget - and both Philip Stein and Michele use easily changed bands!

i also reccommed michele (without diamonds). check out ebay and online retailers for discounts, and u can buy different bands to get lots of different looks...i can't seem to copy the pic, but on the official webiste, take a look at the mini urban...
