Hi all! As per usual I am stuck trying to decide between two different bags! I really love the dark fairytale purple rogue 25. It’s my favorite color and I’m just dying looking at all of the reveal pics! BUT I also really love the washed red tea rose Dinky.
I can’t decide. I have two rogues: a regular size chalk and the black tooled tea rose 25, as well as two Dinkys: a luggage one and the lapis blue. So I really don’t NEED either, but it’s my graduation present to myself for finishing my masters degree in a year.
My SA has two rogues and only ONE Dinky on hold for me.

HELP!

They do not do purple too often so you may want to go with the purple Rogue. It is so pretty! And I can't really tell you not to buy the Dinky... I am also getting the washed red tea rose Rogue tomorrow as well. You WILL get a ton of compliments. I think you need both! Each serves their own purpose. Sorry, I am such an enabler! LOL

That’s part of the problem. I know if I don’t get it I will regret it. The last time I saw this purple is in the lining of the tooled rose rogue I currently have.

The only caviat I have with the Dinky is that’s it’s washed red. I thought I might get the washed red Parker (if it ever goes on sale), so I wouldn’t need 2 washed red bags. But this is also coming from someone who owns 5 black bags. So I’m not the best judge LOL.

I was at the boutique today and I didn’t see the tea rose WR Dinky, but a tea rose washed red Rogue and it’s GORGEOUS. Gorgeous!! Such a beautiful, vibrant red and the flowers really do pop. Then again the Dark Fairytale purple is also lovely, as well. They are both stunning colors. If I could and have the funds, I’d jump onto the washed red in a heartbeat. It is beautiful but purple is gorgeous too. Can’t go wrong with either one.

I vote purple rogue! It's so unique, if I were you I would regret letting that one slip away. Also, because it is so different, I think they'll be scarcely found for resale. There will be more tea rose rogues in the future, quite likely one that you like as much if not more. Plus, just my opinion, but because it is a bit of a seasonal color I wouldn't be surprised if they pop up on eBay in the fall when people might be craving something darker.

Little update: stopped by my store today to see the purple rogue in person. I wasn’t really impressed! I like it, but I feel that the color makes it look cheap compared to the other colors IMO. I love the color, don’t get me wrong, just not on this style I think, and especially not for over $600. If it was a plain Dinky I might think otherwise. They ended up selling the washed red tea rose Dinky I had on hold so I’m super upset I didn’t even get to see that.

Based on this, I might look at other brands. I’m really considering a LV speedy 30b but not sold on paying that price for coated canvas!

Wait, your store sold a bag you had on hold? Did they tell you how long you had to get there before they release it? I'd be upset too, that's not cool.

Yep! It was the last one, and my SA had it on hold for me. When I went in the next day, not even a full 24 hours later, they said they sold it. It really bothers me that they can’t even honor a hold item.

Unless it was a misunderstanding, like the other SA's didn't know it was held, that is really in bad form and would bother me! Sorry that happened to you.

Sorry that happened to you! Some of the busier stores only do "hold until the end of the day", and others do multiple days.
Maybe you can have one transferred to your local store? There might be a $10 cost though.

Damn, I'm sorry. I know when my SA locally put an item on hold for me at a store in another state, they would only hold it till end of that day, so I had to call right away to purchase it. What is frustrating is the inconsistency. Some will hold for a full 24 hours, some only end of day, some for a couple of days. Whatever they do it should be clear so the customer is aware.
