Help me decide: Which bag to sell?

Hello everyone!

I recently noticed my favorite type of handbags are the ones with a top handle AND crossbody strap. It has to have both.

I look at my Chanel collection and realize I really don’t use them, because they don’t have a top handle. I want to add a mini bolide to my collection and am thinking of selling my Chanel to fund it. The problem is that I cannot decide which one to sell. I have to admit I hardly use any of my Chanels now. They do not fit my lifestyle anymore. I do not like to stand out for the sake of safety in my city.

My most favorite bag of the bunch is the brown statement flap. I will not let that go. I am also thinking of keeping my mini square since it is such great quality leather and I love the tactile feel of it.

I also like my statement flap in beige even though it is one of my least used I will probably keep it. My most used is the mini reissue, however have not used in about two years. I do not use the classic flap often and I wish I got it in silver hardware. I also am not in love with the purple east west bag but I got such a good deal on it back then and it’s the only one that is not a neutral. The ones I’m thinking of letting go are my mini reissue, classic flap, and/or my purple east west bag. Please help me decide! I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts and advice.

I would get rid of the purple e/w (you don’t like it) and classic medium flap (it will always remind you of wanting SHW).

I’d be hesitant to let go of the reissue mini since you’ve used this a lot even if in the past….sometimes these bags recycle again in terms of their usefulness in our future lives…

I would keep only one statement flap and sell one. I would also sell the purple east west. If you are not using the bags, sell them. We have such a weird way of convincing ourselves not to sell the Chanel bags because of perceived value. I need to get over this too! They are just leather bags, sell and get stuff that enriches your life now, don't worry if you will carry them in 5 years. I also need and like top handle and cross body. You can buy a chain to make a top handle if you want too. You can sell most of them and buy what really suits you. Let us know what you decide

Keep the medium double flap, everything else can go

I suppose it ultimately depends on your personal style and what you think you will get the most use out of. But personally, I would hang on to the classic flap and mini reissued for now. My logic is a) They are so pricey if you chose to buy again and the prices only are going to go up if you change your mind later down the line and b) this is cliche but I do really believe they are classic bags and because of that you may fall back in love with them later down the road (I rarely wore my cf the first few years, now I wear it all the time!)
