I just received my Lady dior small, and i am really happy! But I found some weird scratches on the dior charms, like some rounded scratches.. and some dent on the leather strap. I dont know if i am being too sensitive about this matter.. like would you mind? As i know it will scratch sometimes down the road.. but i mean its a new bag:-s
and also when i ordered the bag i really wanted the letters “PUT” for the strap. But the T was out of stock so i opted for a “heart” instead. And now i see that they have the T back in stock.

I have not contaced Dior about the scratches and dent yet, as i have a little bit anxiety thinking they would say its my fault (i have heard some bad experience before). There was plastic wrap/sticker on the dior charm, so i think its a new bag. So also I just dont know if i just should return the whole thing and make a new order. Or tell them about my issues first.

I dont have a store in my country, so everything will be handled online. I did ask if i could change the heart badge to the letter T. But they told me i need to return the whole bag and the badges and then place a new order. I dont know what to do.. I really like the holiday packaging that came with it though

Thank you guys, for taking time reading this, please let me know what you would do :amuse:

The bag is beautiful. I have read other posts about the charms and it seems this is a common issue. You may return the bag and reorder just to receive similar charms. I do think we tend to over scrutinize our bags when we first receive them. I would take a day or two to think about it. If the state of the charms just bothers you that much take the chance and return and reorder. The other option would be wait until you can go into a boutique and take a look at bags IRL, if that is possible.

I would return. The leather to the top right of the charms also seems to have a little scratch. For this price, you should get a new bag with very few, if any, small imperfections.

Thank you. Yes i see that the charms gets scratched easily, and we do really scrutinize our bag (and other stuff) when we receive them. So its a good idea to breath and think it over. But i guess i will return it. I just have to make a call to dior first.

I see. And yes for this price is should be without imperfections right?? I guess i will return this one. And either order another one right away or waiting for my refund first and then order. But the potential price increase scares me to wait.

the charms inevitably get fine scratches but it should never get as bad as the circular scratches at the bottom of the R which look pretty deep. Not to mention it is bewildering what caused those deep circular scratches, and appalling that they just put plastic coverings over the badly scratched charms and sold the bag.

Yes i know that the charms would inevitably get fine scratches, so i have prepared myself for when this will happen too. But i did not imagine these round scratches to be there from the start :confused1: I cant even think of what the round scratches could come from.
So i have now sent an email to dior about me wanting to return or exchange the bag.

I completely agree. I’m so tired of stores trying to pass along damaged goods to the customer, especially in the case of these higher end designers. I’ve said it a million times on this forum - while I understand that our purchases will get scratched/scuffed/dirtied, etc., there’s a huge difference between the client causing the damage to their own bag, vs. receiving a damaged bag from the boutique.

OP - I’m glad you’ve contacted Dior to return the bag, I would have done the same thing. Hoping that they make things right for you.
