So I fell head over heals inlove with the YSL College Large bag when I saw a youtube video on it so now Im selling of some of my Collection to fund the bag. But I cant decide on hardware! I go back and forth all the time, think I have decided but Then change my mind again

Silver or Gold? Both are brushed.

Info:
I wear silver jewllery
I want this bag to be used during daytime and evening.
Its my only more "dressed up/proper" bag
There is no store close to me where i can see the bag, i have to order online.

If you tend to gravitate towards silver jewelry, I suggest do the same with the bag as well. It's more likely to get use if the hardware is your preferred color and it also matches your jewelry which always makes a look more pulled together. If you want to try gold, I suggest get something muuuuuch cheaper in a similar size with GHW and see if you find it something that is after your taste. Also, acquiring some jewelry in a gold&silver combo will help you combine the two, easier.

I was in this exact same dilemma not long ago and it was the reason that I didn't purchase and actually fell in love with another bag (celine belt bag) but I can sympathise with your decision process! I had really liked the college bag for a long time and this was when they only had silver hardware available and I remember saying to myself if only this bag came in gold I would buy it in a heartbeat. The only reason I'm after a gold hardware in a bag is because most of my bags have silver hardware so I was really looking for something with gold that I could pair with accessories and shoes that have gold hw so that is what sold me on the gold but then I was having second thoughts because to me the bag looks so much cooler/edgier with the silver hw as opposed to the dressier gold hw. I'm still dreaming about this bag but maybe in the smaller size rather than the large. Good luck with your decision and keep us posted which one you get!

The first one in picture looks more rhw to me, I just saw it couple of days ago in person, a while ago I was so keen to get this one for my next purchase but i am kind of changing my mind at the moment as I am not a gold girl at all, I always gravitate toward silver but I haven't seen any this bag with shiny silver at all, might be its the reason that still keeps me hesitating.

I totally understand your dilemma as I'm definitely not into gold either. Ultimately I would choose the silver.. In fact I'm carrying a very similar colour way right now and love it. So much less in your face logo wise and it's kind of a modern twist on very classic styling. I don't wish the silver was shiny at all

I vote silver, mostly because it's what you usually wear, but also because the gold on this particular bag shouts evening to me. It's too bad the silver isn't a bit brighter, though.

Thank you so much everybody for your comments. I have decided to go with the silver as I agree it looks more edgier and can be worn both day and evening. I kind of like the brushed Silver as its hard to find on a bag. Shiny silver is easier in my mind. I have sold two bags and lots of SLG now so i finally have the funds to order it. But strangly enough im waiting. I have so much at work at the moment and i want the "order online" "receive package" "take time to open" to not be stressed :) so im waitin until next week when work has slowed down a bit. So looking forward getting this bag :)) thank you all again !

I have so far sold (all Mulberry) Daria Satchel in black, Alexa in oak and Mini Lily in Fiery Spritz (red). Also a DKNY pink bag and a Michael Kors Portland black satchel bag. And some Mulberry SLG which I had way to much of as most items were unused in their box... So 5 bags to afford 1, but i have some money over.

I had a hard look at my Collection and had to decide to let go of bags that are similar to each other and only keep an core Collection. Also SLGs i had two of the same but diff color. Madness... Feels Good to have "cleaned" out a bit and hopefully they have come to homes were they willl get used.

All your Mulbs?!? So no more Mulberry for you?
And what did you keep as your core collection?
I went through the same process but I cannot help it, the Alexa is my fav style and this one is duplicated. At least, colors, leathers and hardware are different.. ;)

The Alexa I actually regret selling! Almost that Im going to ask buyer for her back :)
