Hi I have been trying to find the perfect bag for daily use(mostly for work). I am looking for one that can fit a 13 in mac air laptop, has different compartments to organize paperwork and stuff. I prefer double should strap, but haven't found a tote that I like so far. So ended up finding ones with short shoulder/arm strap, with a longer shoulder strap for cross-body carrying if need to, for traveling (easy with baby and kids). It comes down to Coach borough or RLL.
I bought a few Coach borough bags so far. Initially I bought one from the outlet in Saffiano leather with turn lock. But it was very heavy and that particular grey color was very dull, so I returned it. Now I wish I had hang on to it for a little while to give it more thoughts, as the saffiano leather can be more enduring than the soft leather.
Then I bought two Coach borough, one in olive gray in nappa (soft leather), large size, for $395 on sale, and the other in camel color in Retro Glove leather (also soft leather, but a bit firmer). The olive gray has magnetic closure and three big compartments. Under the bright light, the greenish tint shows up more. It is softer so it does go out of shape when I put more stuff in. So I ended up retiring that one too.

The camel color in retro glove leather one has three zippers with 5 compartments. I got a steal on the camel one, on sale for $190 (regular price $798, even the outlet sales for $329). I didn't plan to buy it but can't resist it being such low price. The shoulder strap has a pad which makes carrying heavy things easier.

I also found Lauren by Ralph Lauren (RLL) in navy color, textured leather (the salesperson said it is the RL version of saffiano leather), originally for $298, got in on sale for $190. It has metal feet, short double arm strap, and long shoulder strap. Has two zipper compartments and a middle section. It is a bit smaller than the Coach borough, therefore, a little lighter too. The style is very similar to the Prada bag and Tory Burch Robinson bag.

So I am having a hard deciding. I don't "love" either of the coach bag colors, but can't resist the bargain I got on the camel Borough. RLL looks a bit more formal as it is darker and more structured, but I am not sure about the brand and quality as I am not familiar with it.
The other option is to get a regular size Borough as it comes with more color options but it won't fit my laptop.
I guess I could keep them both, since the price of the oliver grey is equivalent to two of these bags together. But I am not that kind of person who likes to switch bags around, I like to use one bag for everything and everyday until I get tired of it. I already have a black Tory Burch Carryall, but doesn't use it very much because it does not have compartments and not structured enough to put paperwork in. Also, not a big fan of the big golden logo on the front, and not impressed with the quality for the price I paid.
Please help me decide which one you like better and why? What's a better brand? What about quality of the product comparing these two different brand?
Thanks in advance!
